Saint Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and this cute game is free for you to print and use with your kids.
Rainbow facts and fast recall of simple number facts are important to support functional maths skills. Knowing your rainbow facts helps develop good number sense and fast recall assists when completing mathematical operations. As a special needs teacher, it can take my students many, many exposures to develop a skill and games are a great way to keep them motivated.
Print and Play instructions:
Rainbow Facts: Fill the Pot (Print and Play Freebie)
- print the game board (rainbow and pot), the shamrock cards and the coins
- Laminate if you wish
- Place the shamrock cards on the game board
- Place the coins on the rainbow, matching the numbers.
- Turn over a shamrock and take the corresponding coin and put it in the pot at the end of the rainbow eg. turn over a 7, you move the 3 into the pot.
- Keep going until you have used up all the cards and coins and the pot is full.
